Beware that judging field applicability by the simplicity of their examples may shortchange the immense variation intrinsic to their guiding patterns.

Engineering categories are civil, mechanical, aerospace, naval architecture, electrical, agricultural, and solar. Design engineers and industrial designers should look to mechanical emgineering if a more obvious category isn’t here. Along with overlap, exchangeability is a fact of code use. As transporter modes arise from one template, designers may seek to shape their ideas from other fields. E.G., car door ideas from ship design.
